#AgCensus data shows who we are, what we produce

USDA released their final 2012 #AgCensus results yesterday and included some great infographics on the current status of American agriculture.

Some interesting points that I pulled out:

The average age of farm operators is 58, yet 22% of all farmers in the U.S. were beginning farmers in 2012.

I’m pretty impressed by the number of of value-added products produced in the U.S. Farmers are so innovative, especially those in Texas, California, Kentucky, Missouri and Oklahoma!

  1. I’m really impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your weblog.
Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?
Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to
see a nice blog like this one today.

  2. Amazing! This blog looks exactly like my old one! It’s on a entirely different topic but it has
pretty much the same layout and design. Superb choice of colors!
