P-Dub, as she sometimes calls herself, is a self-proclaimed city girl now ranch-wife and mom. She is an excellent writer, shares about homeschooling, cooks healthy and hearty food, and a great photographer.
But what I love most about her is that she is a great advocate for agriculture! She shares so much about life on the ranch for her mostly-urban consumer audience, and most importantly, why her rancher husband, Marlboro Man, does what he does when it comes to beef production, conservation, pasture burning, and animal care on their Oklahoma ranch.
She is now featured on The Food Network. On her first show, they showed her role as a mom and cook (making nothing better than chicken fried steak and breakfast sandwiches), but also showing some great scenes of life on the ranch – and that it is hard work to produce safe, quality beef.
Please share P-Dub’s blog, www.thepioneerwoman.com with your urban friends, and be sure to watch her show on Saturdays at 11:30/10:30c.
