We’ve all heard this. Don’t drink diet sodas – it causes cancer. Don’t eat processed foods – it causes cancer. Don’t eat MEAT – it causes cancer.
The sad reality is…we don’t know what all cancers are derived from.
I found this great blog post from Food, Think! with some great research background with seven meta-analytical studies (which compile data from dozens to hundreds of studies to make more powerful, broader claims since the sample populations are bigger) and, to spoil their ending for you, they all are either inconclusive or conclude with no association between red meat and cancer.
