When most NFL football players during  the off-season are spending time at their vacation homes, Green Bay Packer (and of course – former K-State football player), Jordy Nelson is back home helping on the farm in Kansas.

The Journal Sentinel highlighted his time home on the farm – working with his brother and parents.

"You learn how to work on a farm," said Jordy. "Training camp is all day. Well, I just came off the farm, which is from 7 or 8 in the morning until 7 or 8 at night. And honestly, farming is a lot more work.

It is too bad that the Packers didn’t make it again to the Super Bowl, but what is even better is that the media chose to highlight this one professional football player and why he has become who is today – and that is because of agriculture.
